I am writing this on the M1 about 2 hours away from Potters Bar, it’s raining by you wouldn’t tell by the demeanor of the scouts. Everyone has been singing in the bus and looking forward to a hot shower.
We left the site in good time at about 1.30pm and had flag down with all the tents packed away (the rain gave way for this short period of time which was great). Spencer was the winner of the patrol competition and was awarded with the large peg which has been taken to every camp over the last 20 years.
All in all, spirits are high and we are looking forward to next year’s camp already which will be in Scotland.
Finally, thanks for tuning in to the blog it’s been great to read your comments out to the scouts and to give you the opportunity to have an insight into how we camp.
Your kids should be at the hut at around 9.30
Keep an eye on 5pbscouts.co.uk where all the photos will be uploaded and of course keep an ear out for the film show in October.
Yours in Scouting

Well done Spence – hope you and your large peg will be very happy together!!
A very big THANK YOU to all of the leaders for giving up your time – and probably your sanity – to take the Scouts away and give them such wonderful opportunites.
